Because I usually spend every mother’s day going on and on about “OMG I LUV MY MOM U GUISE”, and not everyone has a mom?? Or has pleasant experiences with said mom?

The first of 2 characters I’m making a short story for portfolio! (*u*)
The characters live in a sort of Polynesian Fantasy World with a mix of
Hawaii/Aotearoa (Maori)/and the Philippines!

The story is about two best friends who have to compete in a contest against each other.

maybe this is a different story ~~but exists in the same world as Beauty and the Brute IDK lololol????~~

I would really love to see some Iroh (Uncle Iroh, that is). Other characters that would be great are Sokka and Toph. Maybe Iroh and Toph chilling and drinking tea? or Sokka and Toph being goofy? Do beauty and the brute still not have canon names? I've taken to calling them linza and gerulf myself but i don't know where the story is even set so it's just me being silly and slapping ancient germanic names on things

One of the loveliest ladies I’ve ever known since the ATLA days, whose generosity, sweetness and kindness has helped me through many tough emotional times, and whose fangirl energy has recharged my fanbattery many-a time!

I miss you, lady! I remember during our Avatar fan NYC comic con adventures, I drew a scribbly crap version of this drawing and I always felt bad that I couldn’t make it prettier with more feelings. So I wanted to revisit this moment and this memory ;w;

Some Dryads that I practiced as a part of my “Beauty and The Brute” story idea.

I like that tho the main “Brute” girl in the story is not traditionally “feminine”, she can still have very “girly/feminine” friends? Who are not mean? As sometimes that tends to happen a lot in stories unfortunately?

Like maybe she was bellowing loudly in the woods one day and came upon the dryads who were being harassed by some lumberjacks or something.
Then she goes and rescues them???

And then girly makeover ~~attempt~~ hangout time?

btw the brute is me everytime I hang out with glamorous/super gorgeous friends :u
