This ended up getting way too labored but I needed to loosen up and practice. I stopped when it reached bullshite levels of coloring but I think I needed to stop like 10 min into it.

Color study for “My Seven Star Brothers”
Quite messy but I’m trying to revisit this sort of coloring.
I’m thinking this is where Quillwork girl has to get the brothers to take her seriously, , though a couple are curious, some are just laughing at her, or giving her the stink eye.
Which gets me to thinking about the whole when-a- female enters a ‘boy’s club’ scenario.
Does she necessarily have to forego being a girl? Does she have to act like “one of the guys”, and go through the whole “I’m not like other girls” thing? Does she have to resort to being pushed aside or picking up after them like a mom?
Not necessarily.
I’d like to think she can take charge, still be a good sister and just be herself.
